Medical Records
Electronic Medical Records
Most medical practices and facilities have accumulated a substantial
volume of patient medical record document files.
These records usually must be retained and require significant storage
space. Accessing these files and re-filing them also can be time consuming.
In addition, the federal government has mandated the use of "EHR" (electronic
health record) in accordance with the stimulus bill known as the american
recovery and reinvestment act (ARRA).
Your choice to have your medical records converted to electronic files is very compelling. By making medical records electronic you reduce physical storage space, you increase productivity, you qualify for ARRA financial reimbursments, and you avoid government penalties. And of course, you realize significant financial advantages for this activity.
CASNET can set up a program to remove, scan, and index each document file. The electronic files can be hosted on our web hosting service eWix, moved to an EHR system of your choice, and/or they can be transferred to CD/DVD media.
Should you elect to subscribe to our eWix hosting service, - all documents
will be scanned - "free" of charge. If you decide to purchase an "EHR",
electronic files can be moved from the eWix service to your "EHR", or
eWix can be retained as back-up or disaster recovery.
